Escaping from winter’s darkness, this hazy golden, unfiltered Kölsch style creates a fresh start. Our take on the classic hybrid style grom Cologne, Germany, combines the subtle fruit notes of an ale with the smooth crispness of a lager for a bright, refreshing brew to help escape those lingering cold days.

Purchased in Vermont in their Cabin selection 12-pack. Pours a slight hazed golden-yellow colour with a frothy white head, good retention and creamy lacing. Citrus aromas with light malt. Caramel malt flavours with some decent hops in the finish. The grain cereal lingers. A nice Limited Release, but not something I would go would go out of my way to grab.

Pours slightly hazy solar yellow with a thick ivory head. Crisp, malty aroma has a strong fruity overtone, pear with hints of apple and banana. Flavor is mainly malty, but fruit notes come through and provide a boost. Texture seems a little firmer than mosts kolschs I have tried, and has a lively fizz. Escape winter with one.

Deep hazy yellow pour with a slight white head. Floral nose. Good carbonation, but a bit too sweet for my preference in a Kolsch. I've had better - I've had a lot worse.

Yellow pour with a hazy orange cloudiness to it. Thin off white head with zero lace on the glass. Slightly sweet with a tart unpleasant aftertaste. No need to try this one again.

A cloudy orange-yellow colored beer with a big frothy textured, white head rising above. There's some hang time on the head. It settles into a moderate ringlet and low to the surface film A wheat, grainy and earthy-grassy hopped profile in nose and tasting. Moderate bodied, crisp-effervescent.

I like this slightly better than Cold Snap, but not one of their better new releases. Seems similar to Alpine Spring, or a substitute at least. Not a big fan of that either. For Florida, this is more like late Spring or summer beer....not early Feb....although it has been in the 80s a lot this winter :). Pretty much a neutral average brew.

Bright hazy yellow. Aroma is musty and floral, almost like a light fruity perfume. Flavor is a winner...a touch sweet and fruity, tropical, yet crisp and bready with a nice finish. Not a great beer, but better than average for the style.
