Seasonal beer, brewed for the winter months, the vintage Christmas is a warm and friendly amber beer brewed especially for those who love Pére Christmas! Very nice with the game and local dishes such as coq beer and veal kidneys. Bottle conditioned traditional mechanical plug.

November 2013: On tap at Amundsen, Oslo. ABV was 6.9%. Ruby red colour, moderate off-white head. Nice aroma and flavour of Christmas spices, malts and caramel. Not too sweet, pleasant. Would buy again.

Sampled on 1/8/2010. This Biere de Garde pours a medium orange gold color from a 75cl swing-top bottle. Medium to small sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, with a touch of honey. A medium bodied Biere de Garde. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy. Nice balance. Slightly sweet. A very drinkable, but not remarkable winter ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet

Swing-top 750 ml bottle. Poured a clear deep amber colored beer with a one finger slight beige foamy head that had a mid-sized retention. Active carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is roasted malts, dark ripe fruits, honey. The flavour is roasted and toasted malts, fruity, plums, grapes, flowery, violet, gingerbread, honey. The mouthfeel is round. This full bodied beer has a lingering ripe fruits finish. A beautiful Christmas gift from Northern France !
