12 oz bottle. Pours clear red amber with a small creamy white head that goes to a thin film that leaves some lacing.
The aroma is sweet figgy malts with a little spice.
The flavor is sweet biscuity malts with some dark fruit and light spice. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with prickly carbonation.
Overall, an OK kind of bland Christmas beer. -

Clear copper color with light brown foam head, lasting and lacing. Aroma is light barley with some caramel and alcohol tones. Taste is bittersweet, nice full flavor of caramel and barley. Short aftertaste. (Houston 201301)

Good stuff here. Grass and hops aroma. Amber beer with a thick pour. Taste is grass, rich grain and hops. Kinda of an IPA. Kind of an ale. Reminds me I need to mow the lawn... maybe I'll wait til next summer. Really refreshing and clean. Yum!

A nice offering from st. Arnolds, the thing i liked best about christmas ale was that it didnt have the usual overwhelming spices normally associated with christmas beers. Most of the flavors were subdued some notes of fruit, malts, and some caramel. Not an aggresive beer, but a nice sipper.

A Christmas delight from Suds McDuff; many thanks! Clear bright amber with a thin bubbly tan head and a light grain and spice nose. Medium-bodied with sweet caramel, light fruit, and mild spice flavors.

I would have to say that this is the best beer that I have ever had. Luckily for me, they are releasing it this July again. Pours a brownish color with nice head that leaves some lacing. The flavor has a lot of spice to it which tastes great. Please try it!!

Reddish orange pour, nice head and good lacing. Rich caramel aroma. Full rich malty flavor, dominated by caramel and a nutty/earthiness as well. Not overly sweet, and a nice bitter kick at the end. Wonderfully devoid of all those putrid Christmas Ale spices. Excellent.

Nice coppery brown with fleeting white head. Nice dry malt nose with prominent but not overpowering spice (sorry, but I''m bad at identifying spices) but it''ssomething in pumpkin pie (nutmeg?). The flavor is more of the same plus some brown sugar and it''s fairly dry. After a few sips it the flavor fades and becomes a bit bland and suffers from lack of malt background. It''s not bad but there''s better winter beers out there.

Sampled from bottle. Pours copper with a patchy light-tan head and substantial lacing. Aroma is a very rich, complex malt. Notes of ripe fruits. Flavor is spicy (peppery), but not really any traditional Christmas spices (thankfully). A hint of plum and caramel, too. Medium to full-bodied with zesty carbonation. High alcohol well disguised. Crisp finish for a strong ale. Try one and have a very merry Christmas.
