surprised by the low marks...this was the only non-ipa or sour we bothered with at RR last week, and i thought it was great. textbook saison...floral, fruity, with enough barnyard funk in the aroma and flavor to go around. i'd get it if it were ever bottled.

Poured a hazy golden color with a thin head, didn't lace much. Aroma was barnyardy and sour, not very good. Taste was better then aroma, malts and light fruits. Refreshing.

On tap at Bistro 2005 Belgian Fest. Light gold color. Medium sized white foamy head, long lasting lacing. Aroma is barnyard, touches of leather and must and something else I canít quite place. A medium bodied saison. Malts are fruity and sweet. Lots of banana esters. Touches of bretts, some hoppiness. Lots of fruity esters and a touch of leather and must. Lively carbonated. Light and refreshing. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean, crisp and dry. Aftertaste is sweet.

Pours with a cloudy orange-gold body topped by a thin head with little lacing. The aroma is slightly sour and full of barnyard notes, not what I expect from a saison. It smells like BO. The flavor is similar but not quite as pronounced. Light, crisp and a touch dry.
