First off - getting aromas of funky-sourness reminding me of light infection, and not what I expect from a Double IPA. It does calm down with time, and the stone fruits of the Rakau hops come out. Citrus shows up as well. Thankfully, the sour scent does not show up in the taste - so not infected. The flavours are milder than the nose gives out to be, with a blend of tropical, stone fruits, light citruses and a tad alcohol warming in the finish. Hazy golden-amber colour with a warm off-white frothy head, good retention and lots of foamy lacing streaks. A decent Double IPA with the Rakau hops showing a nice New Zealand treat.
