Ruddles County is famed for its dry, bitter flavour, which comes from using the rare Bramling Cross hops. Many liken the flavour to burnt toffee and caramel which, when combined with the dry bitterness, gives a very pleasing taste. It really is the ultimate bitter-lovers' bitter. Ruddles County has a light, inviting aroma of soft fruits and hops, and is a deep brown colour with warm, reddish tones.

500 ml oldfashioned milk bottle - nice design. Copper coloured, moderate head. Lovely hoppy aroma, hints of ripe fruits and caramel. Bramling Cross hops account for a distinct bitter flavour and aftertaste, quite dry - I'd like some more malts to balance the hops, but that's the style, I guess. Still, this is a nice beer - will definitely buy again.

Pours a beautiful clear, coppery dark amber with a thick, fluffy, pale beige head. Crisp aroma is strong, but rather typically malty with a hint of pear. Malty flavor has an undertone of pear and just a little bit of fruity sweetness. Smooth texture has only average body and just a teeny bit of tingle. Not great, but still palatable - give it a fair shake.

Nice darkish yellowish brownish color with white top. Aroma is strongly hoppy with some wooden sidekick. Taste has some hints of fruits and flowers, maybe it's even a bit sweet. Aftertaste is really good and refreshing, at the same time really refreshing and good.

Am amber colored beer with a big, foamy textured, white head rising briefly above. Hang time on this one not impressive. Settles into a medium sized, soapy ringlet and light dusting of film. A malt bread nose Sourness and grassy hops in the tasting. Light medium body. Smoothness rounds out a good drink

Deep, beautiful copper color with a decent head and excellent lacing. A very rich, creamy flavor without being too heavy or overwhelming. A nice blend of hops and malt. Clean finish.

An acquired taste. I found this dry but creamy at the same time. It has a spicy taste and pours like a top league beer. Interesting if slightly overated beer.

can be a little off sometimes (used to be in a clear bottle...don't know about now) but it was a nice change of pace. mild, but a complex mix of malty flavors and just a touch of hops.

Ok, skunk alert on this brew, but other then that a nice pleasent beer. Pours a bright clear copper colour with a medium sized head. Aroma like i said is a bit of skunk, and some wierd dankness. Kind of musty actually. Taste is decent, clean malts, black cherry and a hint of grapefruit. nice.

Bottled. Dark copper coloured with white foamy head, which disappears quickly. Hoppy nose with fruitish hints. Very wellbalanced taste, mainly of fruits, but also bitterness. Mouthdrying effect, but still very fresh mouthfeel. 9 10 8 8 9
Casked. Copper/ruby coloured, small beige head. Aroma is sweet caramellish malts and fruits. Flavour is sugary and fruity. Very smooth palate and flavour. Some weak wooden hints also there. Fresh cask! I actually like the bottled version better than the cask. 7 6 7 8 7 -

Pours a very large head. Lacing for days. Copper in color, but with little noticable carbonation. Flavor has hints of fruits, but mostly just plan old strong ale. Not bad. Pull tab and wide mouth are an interesting touch.
