First brewed in 2008 for batch # 3,000. This is our version of a Double India Pale Ale. This year we used almost 900 lbs of English pale malt, and over 40 lbs of hops in a 10 barrel batch. A nice golden color with aromas of pine, citrus and some earthy spicy notes. This beer is full of hop flavor. 8.0% alcohol by volume and about 80 IBUs. This is what hop lovers dream about. Get hopped up on the sauce!

Oct. 2015: 355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.2%. Hazy and surprisingly pale golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of pine / pine needles, spruce tips and dust. Very hoppy flavour, partly balanced by a moderate sweetness, the overall impression is not very sweet. Strong notes of pine needles and spruce tips. Very bitter aftertaste.

Sampled on 4/20/2012. This double IPA pours a medium to dark orange color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, fruity and sweet, hint of orange and citrus. A medium bodied Imperial India Pale Ale. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet, with a touch or orange and orange peel. The hops are citrusy and herbal with some orange. Decent carbonation. Nice malt sweetness, but the hosp seem a little off somehow. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

this review is for cask conditioned Hop Sauce: mellowed nicely, although still one of the liveliest IIPAs at Hoptoberfest. Great, great flavor, the body has thinned out a bit but is quite smooth and goes down nice n' easy. dark and murky for the style, with a hop forward aroma and flavor while maintaining balance. very good. quite good on tap (no cask) as well. slightly better cask, with many of the same attributes, just smoother. 2013 - last couple bumped this up to 4.3
