Sampler at the Rock Bottom Westminister on 9/27/2012. This sweet stout pours a dark black color from the tap. Medium sized beige foamy head. The aroma is chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. A medium bodied sweet stout. The malts are roasty, chocolate and coffee. The hops are herbal. Its creamy but a touch thin tasting for an oatmeal stout, but that could be the Nitro and not the beer. Still pretty tasty. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Poured a very dark, reddish black color with a thin, tan, creamy head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of anise, chocolate, and roasted oats. Taste of roast, light chocolate, some burnt notes though finished somewhat metallic. Rather watery mouthfeel for an oatmeal stout.
