Sampled on draft in Portland, May 06. Pours clear copper with a generous off-white head and remarkable lacing. Mild apple & malt aroma and flavor. The apple is quite dominant in the flavor. Balanced, medium-bodied and smooth. Quite drinkable.

This beer was quite impressive, exceeding all expectations I had for it, or any of the Rock Bottom brews for that matter. The beermaid told me that the seasonals/specialties are usually superior brews there at the Portland branch because they have really talented brewmasters and those are the only beers that allow for experimentation as the standard offering follow standardized recipes. Pours light brown with with a short, creamy head and incredible lacing. The aroma was clean, light, and refreshing, with a nice, malty foundation. The flavor is hearty and satisfying featuring toffee, coffee, and a nice, clean finish. Light-to-medium bodied with strongish carbonation.
