Our beers are produced in accordance with the Reinheitsgebot (German Purity Law) of 1516. The law dictates that we limit our ingredients to barley malt, hops, water and yeast. We brew our beer with barley malt, and never use the cheap rice or corn found in many mainstream American beers. Pure water, fresh yeast, and hops imported from Germany keep our beer honest and pure. We've matched that German purity with the Roanoke Valley Palate by conducting a series of taste tests. The results of these professionally directed focus groups confirmed our choice for a launch beer. Roanokers were asked to sample a wide range of beers and ales. They drank. They talked. We listened.

I am a BIG believer in supporting local brewers, and being a new resident to the Roanoke area, I could see no reason not to give this beer a try. It was decent! I am not a huge fan of malt bombs - this was a malt bomb. The taste was sweet and the color was dark-orange to brown. The head was nice but the retention was weak. I have no real complaints about this beer and will have it again.
