Reddish copper color. Lovely buttered toast, cherry pie, and toffee aromas follow through on a very creamy and round entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-full body with an excellent balance of nutty malt, dried cherry, and earthy hops on the finish. A great example of a dry fruit beer; very drinkable and table friendly. Its hard to believe this is an imperial cherry beer since there is so little cherry aroma or taste present. Pours a dark amber with a thick, creamy head. Not much in the way of aroma--I can detect just the faintest of cherries along with some sweet malt and grain. Taste is similarly bland--some malt sweetness, a little hop bitterness, and just the faintest amount of cherries. Overall, not a bad beer but not one I would seek out.
