Picked this up at the Brew Kettle last week. Bottle pour is dark brown with a small white head. No signs of lacing and very little retention, but this is borderline English session stuff. Mouthfeel is carbed and pleasant, easy drinking and creamy but light - despite the contradiction. Aroma is ALL malt - biscuity and bread dough dominate. The taste is very pleasant, with a nice nutty front finishing with a sweet kick. I like Brew Kettle quite a bit and this one doesn't disappoint. I don't normally go for brown ales, but I dig this.

This is a blackened ruby witha great off-white head that just doesn’t give up. The reason behind that tenacity turns out to be that it’s a bit overcarbonated. There’s a great nuttiness in the flavor here that I’m seeing as chesnuts, but it could be the power of suggestion, and a little bit of roast. Tasty, but just a tad too gassy.
