A genuine Belgian-style wheat ale, White holds a depth of flavour. It's brewed with wheat and oats, and is unfiltered to present a natural cloudy appearance. Mild hints of ground coriander with dried orange peel mingle for a light spiciness that ends with a refreshing, smooth finish.

I tried this beer on March 5, 2008 at 'Jack Astors' in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer was a cloudy metallic gold in colour with a very white head. The aroma was citrusy in nature with some grainy malt. The mouthfeel was watery and medium carbonation was apparent. The taste was quite diluted with some citrusy tones and a little malt. Quite disappointing really.

A decent beer, not a world-beater, but quaffable. Colour - hazy pale yellow, white cap. Aroma - weak wheat and citrus tones. Mouthfeel - thin. Flavour - . weak citrus acidity and wheat sweetness. Overall - decent.

There is really something artificial about this beer, but not sure what it is. It lacks both the aroma and full flavour that is found in a Hoegaarden or something similar, but it is Rickard's best offering.

An unfortuante bastardization. Orange, Lemon, trave banana, fake lemon, fake orange. Some spice. It is worse even than when estrella (spanish macro brewery) tried to "blend" a macro lager with a wit. At least that one had some real flavours going on. This one, without the orange it is served with woould be a hazy hefe. I wonder if the cloudy character is actually a result of partial filtration or is an artificial additive for look. O well, but at least its a canadian macro brewing doing something a bit better than re branding a macro lager.

the taste and aroma is very refreshing. I prefer a true wheat brew preferably from germany. Not a bad try would drink it again if price matched quality.

The commercials are corny, and in a way, so is the beer. Certainly not a true wit in the Belgian style. The colour's there, the aroma is weakly citrusy and spicy and the flavour was weakly wheaty with some sweetness. Not a huge winner in my books, but I'm sure there's someone out there who sees a need for this stuff.

Mmmm. I love this beer. Very floral, citrus/coriander smell. Pours a cloudy dark orangy/yellow that clouds even more when the thick sediment is poured in.There is very little head and almost no lacing. The taste is typical witbier with a little more carbonation than some others, but it still has a decent mouthfeel although not as creamy as, say a hoegaarden. I tasted a little alcohol but mainly light floral/citrus notes fill the mouth. The usual witbier taste is there but not as immediately apparent as others. This is the beer that got me into, "real" beer, and it's almost always in my fridge.

At first blush, this looked more like a hefe than a wit, although to be fair the ambient lighting was not the best. The head was on the small side, and the colour was a cloudy light gold, but at least not the dreaded "urine light gold". Aroma was faint, in fact almost nil. Probably just me in this case. Taste and mouthfeel were acceptable, better than I'd expected from this brand. This really is a crappy review, isn't it, but I'm working from memory here (all of five days past), and there's nothing about this beer I can find that stays with me.

Was pleasantly surprised with this one. Haven't had too many good experiences with Rickard's but they do a decent attempt at a witbier on this one.

For a Molson product it's pretty good considering the route they are trying to go down. But this is no more than a poorman's White. I could realistically rate this anywhere between 1.8 and 2.8. I wouldn't even put a bottle of this on the same table as most others but I am very happy that I am not assaulted by ripe bananas cause that is just freaking annoying after awhile. I've had this on tap before but this review is from the White poured out of a bottle.
Decent Metamucil appearance and a large white cap (too rocky) that has steady retension just above total surface cover with so-so spotty and minor ropy lacing. I was very suprised to see a bunch of brown sediment pour out into the crown. I remember the aroma on tap being alot better. This is an odd citrus scent with cardboard, something spicy (not sure if it is coriander) but maybe has a nutty quality - not too sure about that as there is something here that I cannot nail down. I know there was more lemon scent on tap. Taste is fake in comparision to anything else of the style. The dominant fruit flavour would be oranges. There is a decent ammount of spices as well. The flavour finishes with some sourness. Mouthfeel is fairly smooth with ample carbonation. Finishes with a slight spice and a bit more bitterness than expected but overall it's not a bad thing. With all the negative things said, this is still a drinkable beer, but I cannot see myself bothering ordering it. I'll order a Rickards Red and be less dissapointed....but still dissapointed. Now I'm wondering if a 2.2 is too generous...I think it is. As a Wheat Ale this is 86% crap and obviously a terrible attempt to copy the style. As an alternate to other brews from the big 2 breweries here in Canada this is a decent product and I'm glad to see some progression towards flavourful beer.
Per style this is a very low end beer. As for drinkablity and enjoyment it does pretty good. I've rated on style.
