clear brown colured with a small white foam. Rather fresh aroma of soily and grassy fops with nutty undertones. Medium-bodied with notes of chocolate-crackers, nuts and soil and fresh grassy hops. Medium-bitter and crisp finish of grassy and orangey hops with sweetish notes of nuts and oranges in the background.

Dark copperish amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma of sweet malts and very refreshing citrus + dark fruits. Flavour is malts and hops. A weird mix, but gets boring after about a half pint.

This one poured a nice amber-copper color with a head that was respectable and which laced ok, but not outstanding. The aroma was of caramel malts and hops. The flavor was likewise balanced, but the malty base was somewhat sweeter than normally obtained from an alt. The finish was bittersweet, but cleaner and crisper than many an American pale ale. A good altbier. Yum. (Rerate the next day at a different location: showed that the temperature was probably too cold initially on the previous night. Not a bad beer at all. I think I'm getting hard pressed to distinguish these altbiers from one another.)

Bottle. Brown 'alt' coloured, with a reasonable, off white head. Aroma is malty caramel. Taste is fruity and nutty, then malty, then a slightly bitter finish. Smooth with average carbonation and a nice, medium mouthfeel. A very nice and drinkable alt.
