Perfection.......modest bunch aren't we! This pale ale is our session beer and is perfect for the sunday afternoon in the pub or round at a mates place with fish and chips. This beer is a take on Britain’s traditional beer styles, styles that Andy is incredibily passionate about, and is best described as an English Pale Ale. Four malts produce the beer’s rich amber hue and biscuity, toffeeish and nutty flavours, while our London ale yeast contributes its own tart, berry-like signature. Resiny hops then cleanse the palate and dominate the beer’s emphatic finish. Perfection Pale Ale is the ideal (or dare we overuse, perfect) match for: Pizza Fish and chips Ploughman’s lunch of mature cheddar cheese and pickles . Cheers,

Just finished their American Pale Ale and did not like it, so let's hope this one is much better (as I do like all of their other brews). This English Pale Ale has a huge bubbly head that lasts longer and delivers some light patchy lace. Slightly hazy and golden-amber, but more on the amber side for this one. Hoppy nose at first, but after breathing, fruit malt come out to balance the grassy aromas. Medium-bodied with a some light dryness in the finish. Bitter and grassy flavours with the fruity and mild grain malts. So, much better than their American Pale Ale. Just not sure this one is an English-style one, as the hop is way present. Probably should be the American one instead.

The beer pours a cloudy copper colour with an uneven light tan cap that lingers . Aroma is caramel, citrus, and spices. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavour is caramel, nuts, and a peppery finish. Refreshing and enjoyable. -

So, the American Pale Ale is under strength, and an over strength English Pale Ale is their so called perfection. Nope, can't tell that New Zealand's a Commonwealth country. A deep amber pour, slightly hazed, is topped off by a thin cream coloured cap. Aroma has some floral hop notes, some caramel, and some grains. Not very inviting. Flavour however is very well balanced between the hops and malt and is quite good, yet somehow, still not perfect.

500ml bottle - decants an ale with a clouded amber hue in the glass and a 2 finger puffy off white cap that lasts well and laces. Medium bodied, sandy mouth feel. Flavour profile has biscuit- toffee malts in front with a tart, berry like discernment ... mid palate we find some nut-like flavours and resinous hop balance that leads into a decent bittering in the clean finish. Very well put together ale
