courtesy of Laurent Mousson - clear red-amber colour; little beige foam; the aroma is malty, peppery with light plumy notes; full-bodied, a bit sweet; the finish quite short and soapy - I’m not convinced

Bottled. Amber colour, small, but longlasting head. Aroma is strong malts, as is the flavour. Some hopping and metallic hints also in the flavour. A bit caramel. Finish is hoppy and smooth hoppiness stays for a while in aftertaste. Rich carbonation.

500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. An ale based on pilsener malts, with artificial colouring, hmmm? Filtered and pasteurised. Pours with a beautiful chestnut colour, with a good creamy tan head. Nice malty aroma with notes of caramel, oak and dried fruits, hints of roastiness and tobacco. Flavour is malty sweet with caramel, one-dimensional, minimal bitterness. Smooth and mellow, I expected something better than this.
