Brewer’s blog: "New beer brewed today, Wreckless, a very hoppy / aromatic 4.8% Pale, loaded with Citra and Amarillo hops, looking forward to this one, should be lovely. Think it is time to start brewing at full length rather than the 50% I’ve been running at until now. Update : Just had a quick taste of Wreckless, massive amounts of citra and amarillo tropical fruits coming through,very pleased so far."

    Most sites refer to this as an America Pale Ale, not sure why it's an ESB here. The beer pours a clear medium gold with a long lasting frothy light tan coloured head. The head sticks to the sides like glue. Aroma is definitely reminiscent of an APA with resiny pine, grapefruit, and grassy malts. Mouthfeel is average. Flavor is dominated by the citrus and the pine. Finish is quite bitter.

    Cask (hand pump) at the Darlington Spring Thing Beer Festival 2011. Deep golden colour, low head. Lovely aroma of fruity hops, notes of tropical fruits / passion fruit. The flavour is also dominated by fruity hops, hints of tropical fruits, could use a little more citrussy freshness, but still good. One of the better beers of the festival.
