Another Utah IPA from my wife's visit out there, fresh is the key and this one is very fresh: this one is more orange than amber, medium creamy white head, nice lacing. Bit hops in the nose and palate upfront, grapefruits, blood oranges, citrus, hone and malt sweetness to counter, then some dankness and hops resin; this is a big beer. Drool-worthy bitter linger. Could have brought home several of these and I'd be thrilled! Thanks Kim!

After sampling so many weak, flavorless beers at the brewpub, I'm glad I picked this up at the store on my way out of town. A solid DIPA showcasing all of my favorite hop characteristics. Lots of pine and grapefruit along with tropical fruits in both aroma and taste and a lingering bitterness to finish it out.

Orange yellow with decent, somewaht bubbly white foam head, lacing to glass. Nice bitter hops aroma, like the taste - hoppy all over. Good long lasting bitter aftertaste. Good beer, moreover as I am drinking this at the brewery. (Salt Lake City 201208)

Strong and very hoppy aroma has a firm undertone of grapefruit and a hint of Mandarin orange. It pours a slightly hazy amber with a fairly thick and rather persistent cream-white head that leaves generous lacing. Flavor is very hoppy, strongly but not fiercely bitter, with a nice citrus undertone. Lively texture has good body. Maybe not the best Double IPA I have had, but certainly a worthy one. Elephant or Elephino, put it in your trunk if you like IPAs.
