For some time now, our brewers have been working on a series of experimental beers that fall under the umbrella known as “Mysterium Verum” (translation: “Real Mystery”). A Mysterium Verum beer can be as simple as aging one of our seasonals in an oak barrel, or, it could be an entirely new creation that has fermented and aged in wood, stainless steel, or a combination of the two. The one common thread in all of the Mysterium Verum beers will be their experimental nature, but from this common thread we expect the beers to range far and wide. Vol.XIV - the barrel-aged release of our 14th Anniversary Ale. It was aged for 6 months in American oak.

Draft @ the Flying Saucer for the Real Ale tap nite .. . Pours a dark gold, amazing lacing .. . sweet raisin, oak, wine, and more oak .. . tangy, no abv detected and worthy of first being an anniversary and barreled .. . Yes, my good man, I’ll have the milk steak, boiled over hard, and your finest jelly beans ... raw.
