R&B’s Hoppelganger IPA is a Northwest style India Pale Ale, created for the true beer connoisseur. An assertive blend of Crystal, Columbus, Chinook, Mt. Hood, and Cascade Hops, is added to premium English, French-Belgian, and Canadian malts to create a fresh floral aroma and generous malt flavour, so emblematic of true Northwest-style I.P.A.s. Hoppelganger’s clean and slightly sweet finish is followed by an aggressive hop bitterness. At 45 IBU’s, this beer is definitely…NOT FOR THE FAINT OF TONGUE!!!

I am becoming more and more interested to actually check out the brewery. I have really enjoyed the cream ale a couple times, but this the 4th beer I have tried by them is also a disappointed. It is a decent beer, more of a pale ale, as sierra neveda blows this out of the water for bitterness, aroma and everything to do with IPAs, meanwhile this flounders with faint suggestions at western hops. It seems like halfway between red racer and kieths. Really feels like lowest common denominator beer despite the breweries slogan, "Think Independently, Drink Independently"

This poured with a slightly dark gold colour and a good-sized head. Aroma was suggestive of the hops, as was the taste although it seemed a bit watery towards the end. Just an adequate IPA, and not the "hop bomb" the label might suggest.
