Part of my Xmas gift haul, got at D&Q .. . Pours a cloudy amber .. . stacey, is missing .. . medium to strong foam, sticky lacing .. . pretty strong sweetness, some hay and citrus .. . saison's need to be low in alcohol, the abv shines through on this one .. . kinda good, especially from rahr but i don't want this ever again.. . . Hey! I had a damn good reason! He could never remember my name!

Limited release from Rahr & sons, La Grange farmhouse ale is big for a saison, a rich fruity, aroma with a touch of earthy yeasts. Full mouthfeel, mild carbonation bite, flavor leans towards spicey wheat, earth and mildly bitter hops, it finishes dry. Overall a nice brew from Ft. Worth.
