The Gruntled Pumpkin planted the seed and started a revolution for all of pumpkin-kind. To guard the promising vines of the future that would eventually blossom to become the bottom of the barrel (and that’s a good thing) of this new pumpkin ale.

Pours a clear honey-amber, bubbly and just a wee bit hazy, with a nice if not persistent light tan head. Malty aroma has a decided overtone of fresh pumpkin - yum! - and a hint of cinnamon. Flavor delights with pumpkin, malt, cinnamon and even caramel notes; a touch of honey sweetness rounds out the flavor. Texture is firm and smooth, not too fizzy.

Sampled on Halloween and again on Thanksgiving. Orangish pour, lightly hazed, tall fluffy head, tons of lacing. Nice spiced nose - normal pumpkin pie spices but not overdone at all - nutmeg, light cinnamon, roasted pumpkin, light vanilla. Taste is in line with the aromas in that the spices are not overwhelming. Nice done from RJ Rockers. Will revisit next year too. Second best pumpkin beer I've tried this season. Great label too.
