Second time I've had this. I could have sworn I wrote a review of this the first time? Weird. Anyhoo like Chopz said, it is above average for a PC beer. Hell, it's their best beer, actually. Inherently though, it is still swill. Well, maybe swill-lite, and like lesser beers, is better drank straight out of the bottle. Don't even bother wasting a glass. My numbers reflect the bottle experience, at least for body and taste. it just really suffers once poured into the glass.

This beer comes in a 12 pack, for one dollar more than their other swill lagers. It pours a cloudy golden-beige colour with a decent creamy-foam head that has pretty good retention, and very nice lacing. The nose is malty with some of that Belgian white yeast. Smooth watery mouthfeel, with very mild stickiness as it goes down. The taste is pretty light, with mostly malt and maybe wheat in the background. Some little citrus in the aftertaste. Above average for a PC brew, but too light tasting to be a good witbier. Good on the wallet though, and just right for the summer.

On Tap at the brewery and in fresh bottles. Pour produced a lightly clouded gold colored beer with a fait fluffy wheat beer cap..did not exactly stack out of the glass like a German weizen or Belgian witbier but it is a welcome sign this beer is all natural/malt. Up front a tad sweet malty..then the subtle spice and light citrus peel tones show up..clean semi-dry finish. Not a Belgian or German wheat but a toned down version for mass markets...not offensive and actually very drinkable but not the big rush of curacao-corriander and puckering unmalted wheat finish of a Belgian blanche...then again I don't suspect it was meant to be for the price range it sells at.
