It just wasn’t enough to use a blend of 5 varieties of hops in our India Pale Ale. We needed more. We needed to go wholehog! So, we added a sixth hop and created a more pronounced hop nose and a massive hop flavor for our American twist to this legendary style.

The little lights aren't twinkling. .. Pours a deep tan, with a champion headring, with great lacing .. . quite a malty nose for a IIPA.. syrup, resin, hog, and grated wood .. . quite a kick, swims on the tongue- but still quite easy to get down .. thanks Lou, i enjoyed this brew but i think it needs abit more bitterness to be great- the abv is done nicely though .. .
I simply solved the problem. We needed a coffin... Er, a tree. There are no lots open on Christmas Eve. Lewis burned down my tree so I replaced it as best I could. Voilà.

Well apparently I enjoyed this more than most, but here we go! This poured a copper color with a moderate head. The aroma contains pine, oranges, lemons, and grapefruit. The flavor is on par with the aroma. The aftertaste is quite bitter but with a nice malt backbone. Overall I thought it was a nice beer!

Has a strong, richly hoppy, almost evergreen aroma with a good undertone of grapefruit. It pours a clear coppery orange with a decent off-white head. Lively, hoppy flavor is typical of a good Imperial IPA and has tones of pine and grapefruit and even a hint of cinnamon. Smooth texture has a firm tingle and leaves behind a bit of a fizz, as well as some grapefruit flavor.

I think it is hard to find this beer fresh. There was some skunk to it. which surprised me since it is high in abv.
Hoppy on the nose with some citrus and little pine. Some feet and malt as well. Pours Copper with a good head. Medium body and good carbonation with a smooth finish. flavor seem off for an IIPA. ANd I am rating it based upon that. that being said I thought it was a fine beer to drink. It had a ESB quality to it. Some hops and some citrus.. OK beer.. Not bad for the price -

Above average all around - courtesy of my in-person trade with bluesandbarbq... thanks buddy - nice one for today. Poured hazy orange with a slight head and decent lacing. Very pleasant pronounced hoppiness. Somewhere bewteen IPA and DIPA - not quite either, but nice none-the-less.

Pours a slightly hazy orange amber with a tight white head and some lacing. Big citrus-pine-grapefruit hops aroma with a slightly yeastiness, strong floral nose too. Taste is a hops hodgepodge with floral, citrus and pine hops present and a slight biscuity malt to offset. Good bitter linger though. Still an odd beer.

Odd beer, not quite an IPA...definitely nowhere near IIPA standards, and I really found it leaning more toward Barleywine status. Malty cereal aroma with grassy hops and a slight floral quality. Rich copper color, 1/2" head and stringy lacing. Medium bodied, more malty than hoppy. Whole grains, cereal, honey, pine and mild citrus flavors.

I was told this was a very popular brew - so being only the thnird person to rate it is a bit of a surprise. An orange-gold beer with a thin tan head. Aroma is typical IPA with citrusy hops, some spices, and malt. Flavour is hoppy as one would imagine, but possibly too hoppy for my tastes. The malt should come through better than it does.

Pours a crystal clear dark orange with a huge, fluffy white head. Unfortunately, this is the highlight of the beer. Aroma is weak--for 6 different hops, I expected a lot more but I can hardly smell any hops over the malt. Taste is more malty than bitter. This beer really doesn't fit the IPA category. Kind of disappointing.

Ok, not quite as impressive as the other Hog, but more enjoyable then their regular lineup. A decent mahogany pour with a creamy off white head. Aroma was a little unbalanced- lots of malts with some soft pine and light hops. Taste was very rich with malts upfront and a curly cue tailend hop finish that was wasn't as generous as described.
