Best of the bunch on this visit. Nothing to write home about but a solid "west coast" ipa. Golden color with a thick white head. Citrusy nose and flavor. Medium bodied, you all know the routine by now...

Had a pint of this while checking out the newest of the three Pizza Port locations today. I got pretty much exactly what I expected: a very well made India Pale Ale.
Amber-esqe in appearence, with perhaps hints of red in the highlights. Nice complex layer of foam, to boot.
It goes without saying that the aroma was nice and hoppy -- wouldn't be much of an IPA without that vital component, IMO. But this beer's fresheness and vitality in the nose was especially noteworththy.
Nicely grapefruity (Cascade?) and piney (Centennial?) in the flavor profile -- not agressively over-the-top, but certianly not shy and reclusive, either. Toasty malt profile provided a nice backbone for the hops to take center-stage, but, again, not so far in the background as to make this beer un-balanced.
Nice in the mouthfeel, and amazingly drinkable. Compares favoribably to the Swami's and Wipeout IPA's from the other two Pizza Ports, which I'm sure the El Camino can draw roots to.
A very nice IPA that I can see being my standard drop the next time I stop by San Clemente. Recommended.

had this on draught at Pizza Port San Clemente. it's their version of an IPA. Using Centennial and Cascade hops, this IPA is definitely some serious hop juice. It is a bit one dimensional. It was enjoyable, but nevertheless, there are plenty of good IPA's out there

Light orange gold color. Small white foamy head. Aroma is floral and citrusy. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are fruity and sweet (orange and apricots). Hops are floral and citrusy. A BIG hop aroma leads to a surprisingly well balanced and medium bitter IPA. I was expected way more bitterness from the aroma. Nice IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and very smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Pours with an orange-amber body topped by a medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly sweet with lots of grapefruity, piney hop notes. Finishes bitter, piney and peppery. Medium bodied, smooth and dry.
