Strong aroma is quite hoppy with a firm citrus undertone that is equal parts grapefruit and orange. It pours an attractive clear coppery amber with a thick, if not persistent, pale tan head. Flavor is hoppy and rather bitter, with a surprisingly strong grapefruit/sour orange component that almost overshadows the hops. Texture is smooth as almond milk and nicely fizzy, leaving a tingly and slightly hop-bitter finish. This is not the best Imperial/Double IPA I have had, but it is worthy of a try.

A murky amber colored beer. The head is small, soapy textured and a tinge of orange in color. There is no hang time on this one. But, it does settle into a thick soapy ringlet and film trying to climb up the sides of the glass. The nose is floral and piney hops. Pine are floral hops are bold in the yasting, but not offensively so. It is a medium bodied, well carbonated body that adds to a decent drink.

Clear reddish brown very minimal cap. Breadly malts with non descript citrus hops in the aroma as well as chocolate and caramel. Taste is much of the same with a thick malty taste and grapefruit hops and a lingering bitter. With there was more hop less malt in the brew but this was still good, not that memorable but good.

a surprise on tap at the Pike pub. not a letdown, but less focused and not as good or as well balanced as their regular IPA. the body was a little bigger and juicier, and the flavor a little more bitter and sweet. not the best, but not bad at all.
