As I have yet to review Penn Weizen, I can't really do a comparison of it to their newly created Weizen Bock. But I can tell you that the Weizen Bock does have all of the characteristics of a German wheat beer. Spiciness, touches of citrus, carbonation and a heavy taste of (wheat) grain. The only difference is the color. I never actually saw a beer that was ca-ca/sewer water brown before trying the Penn Weizen Bock. Maybe I am not all that familiar with the Weizen Bock style, but in looking at the hue, I was kind of grossed out. A very interesting adventure none-the-less.
