Magella is a Belgian Dark Abbey Ale that our Brew Master Ryan Worthington created in honor of his wife Jessica. Magella is brewed in the typical Belgian fashion, with candy sugar and Belgian hops, malt and yeast. It’s the clove, with hints of banana, that dominate the flavor and aroma of this rich, ruby brown beer. At 11.1% ABV and 48 IBU, this beer makes a great gift that will only improve with age.

I had this beer straight from the tit at Parkway Brewery. I thought this beer was pretty decent, however, my major hang up is that it is a bit too sweet but not bready enough. Would've liked some more breadiness ... hints of banana too. That being said, the color was beautiful and the grab on the palate was spot on.
