Holyoke Dam Ale is brewed in an English style, using open fermenters and a top fermenting American yeast. We use the finest Canadian English malts. Our Ale is mildly hopped and is intentionally brewed to leave some residual sugars. This combination gives it a refreshingly smooth and malty taste.

Good but nothing special. Poured a dark amber with a malty aroma and fruity taste with malt and hops with the hops being the stronger note.Medium head that faded to nothing. I could see this pairing well with cheese like a nicely aged chedar and nuts.

Paper City Holyoke Dam Ale 2.4 cheapdark Smells a bit malty. Taste is a tad caroub or choco malt. Not too bitter for a lager lover. Fairly mannered and leathery at times. Finish is mild bitter malt that hangs for a few moments.

Pours with a nice deep amber body topped with a thick head leaving nice lace behind. Slightly sweet and fruity malt aroma with a slightly citrusy hop background. Slightly sweet malty flavor with a good fruity hoppiness. Finished slightly bitter and hoppy. Medium to full bodied, relatively smooth and dry in the finish.
