Our Farmhouse Ale™ is a light-colored and unfiltered Saison, which doesn't have quite the storied past of beer styles like bock or porter. Its humble birth occurred in the farmhouses of Wallonia, Belgium. Originally, this was a seasonal beer brewed to last through summer and into autumn. Farmhouse Ale™ is dry and refreshing with spicy, citrusy, earthy, and peppery notes. It has more hops than other Belgian styles, but is less hoppy than our Pagosa Pale Ale. Some have called Saison a cross between a Belgian Pale and a Belgian Wheat with a definite handcrafted touch. A beer with terroir! As such, our Farmhouse Ale™ pairs wonderfully with all kinds of foods. The fruity and spicy notes can lift a simple barbecue to angelic heights. The peppery notes will really enhance the flavors of any hot or spicy dish. It can transform sausage in ways you just wouldn't believe
