An odd couple can make for some of the most incredibly unique tastiness. Take Hotbox Coffee IPA (7.2% ABV, 70 IBUs) for example - a piney, citrus, mango, Simcoe-hopped IPA and an infusion of cold brew extract made with Hotbox Roasters' Ethiopian beans poppin' with creamy blueberry and cacao notes.

Can. Pours clear golden with a thick and frothy eggshell head. Aroma delivers strong resiny hops an a hint of quality coffee. Flavor ups the coffee component quite a bit, accentuating quality and roast parts, while trotting in some toasted malt and tropical fruit. Mouthfeel offers OK fizz and smooth body. One a penny, two a penny, Hotbox Beer!

A murky amber colored beer with a big frothy textured, white head rising above. There's good hang time on this head. Impressively thick lacing is left behind. I'm getting more hoppiness than the coffee notes in the nose. The coffee comes forward in the tasting backed up by floral hops. Full, resiny bodied on the tongue

12 oz can. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a big fluffy white head that retains well and leaves little lacing.
The aroma is roast coffee and chocolate with some piney hops.
The flavor is roast coffee and chocolate with some earthy leather and a piney grassy hop finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, it has some nice coffee notes but they don't really blend with the IPA.
