Oregon Trail Bourbon Barrel Porter is as big as the West, masterfully brewed in the true pioneer spirit. This robust porter is aged in Kentucky oak bourbon barrels. The result is a pitch-black brew, rich with oaky smoothness, bold bourbonesque aroma, with hints of fruit and vanilla.

Pours barely translucent coffee brown. Roast malt aroma has woody bourbon overtone and note of molasses. Bold flavor has roast malt, bourbon, woody and molasses notes. Texture is smooth, if not too fizzy or firm.

Full rich aroma of chocolate, vanilla and graham cracker/s'more. Abv well hidden though this is quite the decadent beer. First impression of Oregon Trail is a good one. Deeeelicious...

Pours with a dark brown body topped by a medium thick, tan head wtih some lacing. It’s slightly sweet with lots of vanilla and bourbon notes, as well as a touch of malt. Medium to bull bodied, smooth and a touch warming.

This porter poured a medium brown color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is malty, caramel and sweet with lots of bourbon. A medium bodied porter. Malts are chocolate and coffee, touch of vanilla and caramel. Nice balance between the malts and the bourbon barrel, but perhaps a bit to much bourbon at the finish. Very smooth and clean. Makes a great sipping beer. Hides the alcohol very well. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet

Thanks to batkins for this brew this pours a murky brown color with a small head. The aroma is bourbon, vanilla, oak and some more bourbon. The flavor has lots of, surprise, bourbon and vanilla. it's surprisingly light bodied with a little bite on the finish. Pretty tasty
