Named after a Brussels bar made famous as the starting point for bicycle and pigeon races, our Rare Vos Amber Ale is also a great place to begin your virtual taste test. As you pour, you'll notice the beautiful coppery-amber color and the rich creamy head. Lift the glass to your mouth and enjoy the aroma of spicy orange blossoms. Taste, and the pleasant mellow flavor of caramel malt glides easily into a dry, hop finish. Once you've finished, start again (after all, this isn't a race). Intended for the café as well as the dinner table, Rare Vos is an amber ale of medium color and strength. It sports aromas and flavors of caramel, orange, hops, plus an elusive fruity-yeasty flavor which will have you tasting in circles.

Clear amber color, big tan lasting, lacing retaining foam head. Spicy aroma, I think it’s pepper. Return in taste that spicy tick, malty. Different indeed (raar). (Davenport 201510)

Seems to be Belgian in inspiration, light clove, some banana, wheat, apricot and sweet citrus. Some nice grassy yeast characteristics, body is well rounded, medium in weight and an excellent canvas for this sophisticated and refined beer. Very simple suggestions at many flavours, but all are harmonious in a well put-together final product.

Yet another beer supplied by pfoxyjohn and enjoyed at the bar(n). I thought apricots on first taste but after reading the bottle I think its more likely a sweet citrus orange flavor. A nice beer for the hot humid afternoon but I did find it a bit oversweet by the end of the glass.

Pours amber with creamy head--nice lacing and clarity. Aroma pleasantly combines fruitiness, yeastiness, and spiciness. Sourness and Belgian spices are almost balanced by ripe fruit flavor. The mouthfeel is full and soft, excellent for an amber. Undeniably good beer although Belgian-styles are not my favorite.

belgian, belgian, belgian. We get bored doing ipa so we make a belgian ipa. This is an amber but its got belgian yeast. Only problem with belgian is that it takes over the flavor and complexity of an amber and makes it in a not so complex belgian. This isnt to say it isnt tastey, just belgian

Cork randomly exploded out of the bottle 5 min after cage taken off, it scared the crap out of me. Body appears reddish honey brown with a thick of white cap, very long lasting. Dam fine aroma!! massive wheat, big yeast, powerful spice. This is not a timid brew.BANANA!!!!!! Taste is similar to aroma but not as good. Good wheaty malt perfect spice, roasted coconut, slightly sour finish. I'm getting a strange watery cherry flavour in the sour finish. Ya i read a blond freaks review and i 100% agree with his pear pick up, but it reminds me of a desert I had at my wedding a pear that was poached in e reasling wine with cinnamon and clove. Brew has now sat for an hour and ginger ale is now replacing all other fruits. Bryzgalov has completely screwed my goal tending is weeks pool match up DAM YOU RUSSIANS!!! Wow what a great beer I could drink this all the time it be complex but yet easy drinking. I take back my Russian comment Khabibulin is standing on his head here in the 3rd!! GO OILERS!!!

Smells of yeast and bourbon. Amber ale that pours thin with lots of bubbles and a foamy head. Taste is of yeast and bread with a little spice. Maybe some nutmeg. Light body and a thin mouthfeel. That's about it. This is almost a winter ale. Just a little too thin for that. Good but not great. For the price it's just OK.
