This is our new years brew for 2006. It is a bittersweet brew with a assertive sparkle from natural Co2. Three types of caramelized sugar provides this brew with character and a beautiful red color. Refreshing bitterness from German and British hops blends with malt sweetness and caramel flavors, making this brew a robust companion for both cake and cigars. Ølfabrikken Nytår 2006 is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and bottle conditioned like all of our beers. Only available in 1½ liter champagne bottles.

Batch 60/350. Hazy nutbrown colour, big off-white creamy head. Alcohol and sweet fruitsin aroma. Flavour is nuts, a bit roast, lots of spices and hops. Bitter hoppy aftertaste.

RBESG 2006 Grand Tasting. Magnum bottle. Hazy amber colour, moderate head. Lovely oaky and spicy aroma, with some brown sugar notes. Spicy flavour, notes of caramel. A little more hops would have been nice.

Pours out in hazy dull aple orange colour with huge rocky white head. Rather sweet aroma of dried oranges, apricot, toffee and vanilla with dryish edge of soily hops and herbs. Malty flavour of cookies, dried oranges, butter, biscuit anf toffee with grassy hop note. Full but rather slick body. Drier finish of grass, herbs and pepper with touches of alcohol. Sweet undertones of sugar and biscuity malts.
