Complex, with a rich malty sweetness, significant esters and alcohol, and light to moderate spiciness. The malt is rich and strong, and has a Munich-type quality. The fruity esters are strong , and contain raisin, plum, dried cherry notes. Coppery-brown in colour. Huge, dense, cream-coloured head.

Bottled. Ruby red colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is fruits, wood, mild tart notes and some toffee as well. Flavour is fruity, wooden, grassy and some quite tart notes.
