Our Munich Mild Dark is a well-rounded, dark brown ale. The rich malt flavour is complemented by a firm nutty dryness and a gentle fruitiness, making it surprisingly refreshing.

THis beer is actually called the "Okanagan Spring Munich Mild Dark Ale" (as written on the label). I'm not suer how it gets classified as a dunkel/lager based on what the label says. Anyway, it's a dark red brown beer with almost no head. The aroma is caramnel malt with hints of licorice and citrus. The flavour is sweet grainy malt with a touch of bitterness.

Pours a lovely dark chestnut with ruby high lights. Rocky-fluffy off white head. Moderate carbonation. Sweet malty subtle aroma. Toasty malts dominate with a nutty sweetness and the herbal woody hops plough through in the wet finish. Nice toasty malty after taste. This seems a taste sweet for a dunkel and in the flavor profile it almost emulates a Vienna....at any rate this is a very nice domestic dark lager that I will buy often.

Pours a clear light brown color, small off-white head that starts good but quickly dies. Malty and grainy smell, light hops. Sweet toasted malt, smooth but not heavy. Nice finish blend of hops and some light smokiness. Carbonation gives a crisp and smooth mouthfeel. An easy to drink dunkel, I would say a pretty good effort to compete with true Germans of this style. Not spectacular, but above average.
