Comes out of the tap a warm, opaque sable just a hair above black with a very fine-bubbled and persistent tan head. Roast coffee aroma has a hint of semi-sweet chocolate. Flavor is like a top-of-the-line mocha - quality coffee and chocolate with nutty, smoky and molasses hints. Texture is velvety smooth and nicely fizzy.

12 oz can. Pours dark brown black with a medium fizzy creamy brown head that goes to a thin layer and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is sweet and roasty chocolate malts with some acidic coffee.

The flavor is sweet chocolate with lots of roast coffee and a slightly ashy finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, I like the sweet chocolate and roast coffee.

Maybe this was old, cause it seems to be liked, and I like Oakshire...and LOVE coffee stouts. Not this one, though. There was a little of that olove like vegetal quality that while not overpoering was a distraction. Coffee seemed a little stale and the body was thin and lifeless. I didn't hate it as much as that would indicate. The aroma and look were nice, but the body and flavor lacking. I got the impression if the coffee were gone, this beer woulda sucked.

Breakfast of Champions in Portland, Saturday morning, at Casa del Locos Revolucion Fuego. Deep dark brown pour, tan head, some lacing. Deep roasted malts aroma, weak black coffee, earthy hops. Flavor follows the nose with a nice roasted richness and black coffee goodness. Thanks Travis for sharing.

Brother Brando give me an idea, someone should litterally come out with a coffee beer which is intended to have milk and sugar added at the drinking time. Maybe thats a bad idea to... Clean, thin body, simple flvours, drip coffee more than espresso I thought, too burnt, too bitter to be espresso. Regardless, nice beer, I though it lacked body and complexity in the flavour, but there are plenty of simple beers that I do like, so I guess it just didnt tickle my pickle the right way that day.

I had an Imperial Pint of this at the Horse Brass Pub a few days ago. Had a nice roasted malt and coffee aroma. Dry, medium-full body. I didn't take any other notes than this for some reason, but it was a very good beer.

Pours a pitch black colour with a thin brown head. Not much to the froth but it leaves behind a pretty coolour Instant coffee- not "instant coffee" but INSTANT COFFEE scent right off the bad. Black coffee, this shit is burnt. Burned toast. Definately a lot of oak . Playing pool today I smelled something that smelled like grease. Something burning in the kitchen. That's what this aroma is like. Taste is really full and creamy. Dark roasted and tasteful in every way. Thanks for the beer brandon!

Very strong coffee, this is what has been keeping me up until 5 AM posting posts on the BP forum. Very dark in body color, the head is somewhat of a rusty copper head, not to foamy, as this is out of a growler. I hope you like your coffee black, as do I, otherwise, add your own cream or sugar. It does have a bit of smooth texture, and there is a bit of sweetness behind the bitter. I think this was a very well crafted beer, but this is a coffee stout, which in my personal opinion, goes together like peas n carrots.
