Growler brought back from my trip to West Virginia. Reef's Wheat thought to likely be a Hefeweizen turned out to be more of an American Wheat. A simple but tasty beer quaffed by my father, wife and myself. The body is a dark golden-orange color with a medium sized lasting head and bands of foamy lacing. The color looks great. Faint grassy aroma coupled with and even fainter fruitiness. Mild butter and sweet corn scents are in there as well. Light bodied, somewhat dry and crisp with a watery finish. Real subtle tropical and citrus fruit flavors. Grainy wheat and buttered multi-grain bread round out the taste department. Simple and rather plain, it was decent at best.
