With all things considered, this wasn't a bad beer. In fact, given the style it was pretty darned good. But to be honest, I've NEVER had an experience with a beer quite like this one. First, thanks to oh6gdx for shipping me this one awhile back. Now, I popped the cap and poured it into my Maudite chalis, and the color was a orangish/red color...kinda like the color of a ruby red grapefruit. Hmmm. Okay, I was kinda digging the color but then at the end of the glass, as the last bits of the beer is emptying the bottle some strange pink something pours into my head. Yeah, it's pink. It invades the beers head rather obviously. So I'm reading some other reviews and find it's a food coloring added? Strange. So this is a long lost relative of a green beer? Anyways, I found that really odd. But the beer looked nice (although different) for sure. Aroma was on the sweet side of things, dusty, cereal and malty. Mouthfeel was close to soda water. The beer had some sweet malts to it, a bit of aspirin, and a touch of berries? Reminded me of drinking berry flavored soda water. Artificial, but there. Overall, not bad. An interesting quirk to the beer.

Hazy pinkish orange colour with small white foamy head. Weak cranberrylike aroma. Strange sweetishbitter flavour, something like sour strawberries mixed with cranberries (especially in finish). Very different, but I liked it. The colour is pretty strange too, like the rest also commented...

Sampled RBESG 2006 Grand Tasting. Pinkish orange colour, low head. Artificial red colour (E120) has been added to the beer as a gimmick, hence the "red" (USSR / Lenin) style of the label. Grassy aroma with hints of wild cranberries. Boring pale lager flavour with some hops in the finish.
