A little different Yule/Christmas beer. Here we have let loose some creativity and spices, and we think we have created a beer that should go well with nuts as well as Christmas cookies. Bottle conditioned. Unfiltered and unpasteurized. Sediment will occur. To be served at cellar temperature.

Serious spice-filled aroma!! Absolutely huge! Pours a light tan very huge head with lots of large bubbles, but a head that seems to stay.Lots of spices in the flavor as well. Actually reminds me of a XMAS homebrew I made about 13 years ago. Fair amount of sediment left in the bottom of the bottle. Palatte is full of spices too. Normal weight body. Definately a unique one. Would go great with a curry, or other spicy foods.

50cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian. Slightly hazy brown with a beige head. Spicy aroma with dark malt, cardamom, cinnamon and hints of dark fruits. Quite sweet with lots of spicy flavours and a pleasant bitterness in the finish. Name fits well. Interesting beer.

Courtesy of Blazer06. Pours deep copper – brown with thin off white head. The aroma is full of spices, citrus, some shrubbery, flowers and earthiness. The taste commences with malts moving toward various winter like spices and flowers. I also begin to pick up spicy and earthy hops by about midway. Ends even and satisfying. Nice brew.

Dark brown murky pour with a good sized beige head. The head dissipates quickly but leaves some lace. Wet Christmas pudding aroma. Orange flavour with lots of spice. Ginger, cinnamon and other spices makes for a tasty brew. Not a huge fan of spiced beer but this is worth a try.

This spiced beer has cinnamon, ginger, cloves, coriander and cardamon listed as the 5 spices in the ingredients. Pours a real dark copper colour with a beige head, good retention and decent lace. Those special spices are definitely creating the most of the aromas. Hints of roasted malts and licorice. Medium-bodied with a mouthfeel that is slightly oily. The taste is not as powerful as the nose, but has a nice blend of things. Roasted malt, licorice, spices and even a bit of mint in the finish. Lingering ginger in the aftertaste. A nice Christmas brew that is good to have... once a year.

Pours a very dark brown into a Maredsous chalice with a thin rocky light brown head. Aroma is spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, coriander, cloves, ginger), caramel, and yeast. MOuthfeel is medium bodied, dry, and medium carbonation. Flavour is similar to the aroma with a lot of nice Christmas spices, some maltiness, and a dry spicy finish -

This poured a black color with a beige head. The aroma contains some cinnamon, cloves, and wintergreen. The flavor contains some chocolate, mint, cinnamon, and cloves. I should have waited until winter to try this, but it was nice in the summer as well. Overall well done!

Last of my "Christmas" Beers for 2009. Deep brown pour with a thinnish cream head and some initial lacing. Roasted malts, pepper and ginger, cloves and other spices in the aroma. Taste is same roasted malts with a coriander, ginger, clove and spices and ripe fruits. Almost too spicy but still satisfying.

To start, none of the spices listed in the brewer's description above are subtle, save for the coriander. the aroma was awesome...perfect for a spiced ale. the flavor didn't quite match up...maybe a little TOO intense. My buddy and my wife noted a soapy characteristic. I can see that, very subtle. Made it seem like the spices were a little artificial, but it went away mostly as it warmed. I enjoyed the heavily spiced flavor even if it didn't quite live up to the aroma or the collaberation beer made with Stone and Jolly Pumpkin. Like the winter ale, it poured dark with an everlasting head. Almost black. Smooth too, if a touch thin. pretty good beer.
