An Englishman’s first love is his brown ale. However, in the summer he often fancies blondes instead! With this inspiration, we’ve created Newcastle Bombshell, an English style blonde ale. The combination of Cascade, Hellertau and Northdown hops balance this golden coloured ale’s light aroma and bitterness with toasted malt to ensure a silky smooth finish. After one sip of this brew, we’re sure you’ll agree she’s a real bombshell.

This could be the best Newcastle that I had. Not a big fan of the original as well as the new seasonals that I tried, but this is refreshing and drinkable. Flavor and balance is ok...though it could us a little more. Reminds me of a pilsner. It is approaching the end of summer, so probably passing on this for now....but is something I would maybe revisit in the future.

A bright amber colored body with a big fluffy textured, white head rising above. Bready malt, light in nose, more pronounced in the tasting with a nice very light citric hop presence. Very smooth and very drinkable.

Pours a clear amber with a good off-white head. Aroma is malty and lagerish, slightly fruity. Malty flavor has a fruity undertone, typical but still refreshing. Decent body and fair fizziness round out a nice blond ale.

I had looked for this once i heard about this and found it. I was blown away by the idea that Newcastle put this in a brown bottle. The flavor was very smooth and not too hoppy, with a nice blend of malts that really set this off. It had a nice body to it that was very smooth. The art work was awesome and that it was a pin up from the bomber days. Overall this was great and look forward to this.

A golden with a tinge of bronze colored body, thin white cap that leaves some spotty lace. Aromas of toasted malts, and vinegar, pretty similar to their brown ale. Mouthfeel is o.k., a slight bite from the carbonation.Flavor is pretty similar to the aroma, with the toastiness not coming through as much, some grassy, earthy hops coming out in the middle. Some bitterness at the finish with the vinegar malt aftertaste.
