Brown 12 oz bottle for $1.50 at Vintage Estates in Boardman, thanks Nuts. When you pour it, it has a really dark opaque color that hides all those swirling sediments that have been resting on the bottom of the bottle. Bready uncooked yeasty dough smell, pretty good aroma. Bitter dark tasting alky laced with bitter very dark chocolate and or black coffee. Also includes some burned wood that has been extinguished with water. Good welcomed carbonation. Not bad and a good representative for a dark brew. Overall pretty coarse and oppresive for a sweet stout. Probably should be in the stout or imp stout category. Nothing like Mackeson, Sammy Smith or Schell Snowstorm, they are all much better than this.

Bottle thanks to Blazer06: Poured a reddish black with no head. Aroma is a mix of oats, roasted malt, and chocolate. The taste is a watery sweet chocolate and roasted malt, light hints of coffee.

Courtesy of Blazer06. It pours dark brown with copper edges and tan head. The aroma is sweet with malts and black licorice, dark roasted malts, some black patent malts and cinnamon. The taste is smooth, sweet and earthy. I get dark roasted malts, black patent, a touch of chocolate, a strata of earthiness and a touch of charred malts. Yum!

This stout entered Ontario as a brand new entry into the stout race and started near the top. This is a black beer with brown edges and a creamy light brown cap. Lots of coffee and roasted malt in the aroma and the flavour is nicely balanced between the sweet chocolate notes and the bitterness of the coffee and roasted malt

12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a big creamy tan head that retains well and lace the glass a little.
The aroma is sweet roasty chocolate malt and oatmeal.
The flavor is sweet chocolate malt, some acidic roast. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, a solid oatmeal stout.Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8
Pours a large frothy brownish head and has a fairly dark brown appearance with ruby highlights. Good lacing all around. Aromas of mild coffee, sweet malt and vanilla. Flavours of chocolate, coffee and cocoa notes, vanilla, and the oatmeal is somewhat mainly in the finish. Pretty good retention and mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. Quite enjoyable.

The beer pours a solid coca-cola black with a brown creamy head. Aroma was nutty malt, chocolate, and coffee. The mouthfeel was medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour was bitter coffee, sweet chocolate, and a hint of molasses.Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6
Pours a jet black that you can see visible light through. Sub-one finger head that disappears very fast. Aroma is very chocolatey and full of roasted malts. Very dry and fizzy to the tongue. Taste is of dull metal and malts. Somewhat bitter. Finishes off very dry. For an oatmeal stout it is very very dry, which is somewhat different that the others I have had. Very drinkable but it lacks in the taste department.
