Who is qualified to judge one's contribution? Is it the pure Wisconsin barley malt or shall credit be given to traditional German and English hops? Maybe it is the Belgian Monastic yeast or the Brewer's tender care? Combined, this is a sophisticated Abbey style ale. Both elegant and drinkable this ale is cleanly aromatic with spicy notes of clove and ginger. Crisp and fragrant up front while gracefully sliding into warm malt notes at the finish. Fermented natually in this bottle, the beer in your hand is a living testament to the value of many working together to create something bigger than the individual parts. Moving a mountain begins with a single stone.

Courtesy of Gillard. Pours yellow to gold and nearly totally opaque with off white head. The aroma is bubble gum, ripe banana, grainy malts, more banana and a sense of wheat. The taste is much the same with bubble gum notes coming and going in and around a pile of ripe bananas sprinkled with wheat. Midway and to the finish I get an upwelling of yeasty spice.

This poured a cloudy gold with big and foamy head. Aroma is of spice with citrus notes (orange). Malty yet crisp with floral-spicines.another winner from New Glaurus

Pours a cloudy lemon yellow with a one finger head that stays there for a bit. Little to no carbonation. Aroma is vanilla, lemon, and spices. Taste is of cloves, lemon, and other spice. Aftertaste is very sweet and dry. Not bad.

Very hazy straw color with champaign like head. Not too impressive from a visual standpoint. Smells like a belgian, some sourness, plums and raisins, that whole bit. Mouthfeel is too thin but the flavor of the belgian is there, kinda watery though.

Poured a cloudy golden color with bubbly white head. Aroma was malts and spices. The spices were more noticeable in taste, zesty and citrus. Tasted a lot like Hoegaarden, whoooooch, I happen to like.

A nice beer with the smell of clove, banana, and hops. Hoppy flavor with some burnt caramel that goes down smooth. Overall a pretty good beer. Pretty easy to drink.

Courtesy of pfoxyjohn. This pours an orange color with a big fluffy white head that does settle down rather quickly with minimal retention. Aroma is banana, cloves and yeast, fresh smelling, and reminds me of a warm summer day. Nothing flashy about this beer but it's a nice, very refreshing drink. Tastes a lot like a triple without the extra alcohol kick. The flavor has a nice spice in there which goes well with the fruity and clove flavors. Solid beer and thanks pfoxyjohn!

somehow mixes aspects of a belgian blonde ale, wit, and trippel. nice beer, if just a touch on the boring side, for them anyway. super high carbonation, looks like a wit, or maybe a blonde. clean zesty citrus notes and flavor and some spice. clean and dry.

Guess who sent this to me? That's right, the one and only pfoxyjohn! Lucky me, 'cause I sure love me some Belgian ales! This is really quite a good ale...almost like a trippel. Pours a hazy yellow, with a thin, filmy head. Only the lightest lacing. Lots of delicious fruits: pinapples, apples, grapes, and some orange zest. Then under that comes the taste of bubblegum. That flavor layering is what makes this so good; sometimes these golden Belgians taste more like Bazooka than beer. Light citrusy hops. Clean finish. Absolutely delicious. Thanks John!

This beer had aromas of wheat and citrus. The flavor was crisp with some wheat sweetness and a nice hop bite on the finish. There were noticeable fruity esters on the palate with a hint of ginger. Poured a clear golden color.
