This was a nice one. It poured a dark brown color with a weak head. It had a nice malty aroma with a malty flavor leaning a bit on the drier side. Im not one to drink dark beer, but this was very smooth and went down well.

The beer pours dark and cloudy. decent sized head. has an aroma of fruit, apples, cranberries and Wisc. cheese. It finishes off dry with a little bit of nuttiness.

04.08.05 12oz bottle thanks to TAR. Muddy, totally clouded, iced tea brown with smallish, pale head. Sweet, yummy aromas of caramel apples, toast. Soft palate with slightest tingle of eff. Flavors are a touch chocolatey, ripe grains, light toast. Reminds a bit of Alaskan and could maybe use a stronger toasty quality. It’s nice and not overdone. Thanks Jeff!

Dark brown color. Medium head. Aroma is malty with a touch of coffee. A medium bodied altbier. Roasted malts. Chocolate and coffee, somewhat nutty. Nicely balanced. Hops are slightly spicy. Again a very smooth beer. Very tasty. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is malty and sweet.

Very dark brownish red body with a large off white head. Aroma is bubblegum, cinamon and some toasted bread. The taste is slight banana with a malty and bready background. Also has very light notes of apple peel. Fairly thin mouthfeel. A nice and refreshing brew that makes me continue to appreciate the skills of the New Glarus crew.

This beer pours with a cloudy, deep amber body topped by a thick head with good lacing. The aroma is sweet and fruity with candy sugar notes and a ton of malt. The flavor is sweet and full of candy sugar with slight notes of fruit and a very slight bitterness. Medium bodied and smooth.

Great product from New Glarus? Of course. Perfect strong dark ale. Great flavor, aroma, and mouthfeel. Good head, probably the only sub par part of the drink. Get it before its gone.
