Snap! You just captured an unfiltered wheat beer full of refreshment and a flash of tart at the finish. Smile-inducing aromas of citrus hops jump from the nose, accompanied by the sweetness of coriander and grains of paradise. Brewed with wheat and pale malt, Snapshot pours a hazy, lemon-yellow with bright-white lacing. But the real enticement is the snap of tart. New Belgium’s affinity for sour beers led to the in-process blending of lactobacillus to pucker up Snapshot’s base. An extra step to acidify and beautify and get this beer ready for its close up.

Sampled from bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a creamy white head - as advertised. Sweet grainy aroma with floral/citrus notes. Balanced with a tart finish. Fine beeer, but mainly it made me pine for the days the biere de mars was in 6 packs for $8.

pours a hazy light yellow, with a small white head. The aroma is somewhat tart, with wheat, grain, and lemon. The aroma is not very strong, and not very appealing. It tastes much like the aroma, not a very strong or appealing taste, seems like the taste may be watered down. The mouthfeel is thin and watery, with moderate carbonation

Pours out yellow and cloudy with white head that disappears instantly. The aroma is of wheat, malt and lemon. The mouthfeel is solid but not rich and thick. The flavor of mild wheat and vey light fruit.

Comes out of the growler a hazy solar yellow with a very thick eggshell head - be sure to have a thirsty towel handy! Aroma is typically wheaty and yeasty. Flavor is wheaty and yeasty with a bit of lemon, typical but refreshing - especially at the beginning of spring. Mouthfeel is smooth and fairly fizzy, OK if typical. If not New Belgium’s best, still refreshing and pleasing.

12 oz bottle, enjoy by 6/22/14. Pours hazy yellow-white with a big rocky white head that retains well and laces the glass a little.
The aroma is wheat malts with some lactic acid tartness.
The flavor is sweet bready wheat malts with a little lemoney fruit and slight tart lactic acid. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with some spritzy carbonation.
Overall, reminds me of a gose, but a bit sweeter and more wheaty. -

Cloudy sunshine with a thin but dense and persistent cap. I just had to put on Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine" while transcribing my notes. It smells lemony, floral, a little earthy. The flavor is quite tart with a yeasty bitter finish and a little orange peel. Over time the yeast comes forward, the lemon recedes, and the brew sweetens (as is so often the case). Good tingle, clean, not too heavy or sticky but leaves lots of lace.

Very lightly clouded straw yellow pour, tight white head, nice lacing. Spicy wheat aroma and flavors, citrus - lemons and orange peel, lightly floral and zesty. Easy to drink.

This is definitely more of a spring or summer beer...perfect for the 80+ degrees March heat in Florida. Sampled this with an early dinner pairing. Not bad for a seasonal, but not a big fan of this style. Almost rated this closer to 6s across the board.....although this is slightly better than the average beer. An unfiltered cloudy wheat with a paleish yellow appearance. Flavors of wheat with some mild fruit, lemon or orange zest, etc. Reminds me of Hoegaarden.

kind of a standout as an American Wheat. in that it really presents itself as a quasi-berliner weisse (a much better style on average). Very doughy aroma and flavor...light sourdough. Not as tart, and milder than I was hoping with a lemony wheat flavor and aroma, but pretty solid across the board. Very refreshing warmer weather brew.

Pours a murky light yellow with a foamy white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, wheat, earth, and yeast aromas. Taste is much the same with sweet grain and earth flavors on the finish. There is a very mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that is pretty refreshing but the aromas and flavors are mild all around.
