Spiced imperial dark ale. Our brewmaster, Peter Bouckaert and Belgian brewmaster, Anne-Franciose Pypaert found inspiration in the forest for this bright, dry-hopped ale brewed with spruce tips and Grains of Paradise and aged on white oak spirals.

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8
Pours clear dark copper with a thick and fairly persistent pale buff head. Aroma presents spice, toasted malt, and subtle fruity and woody notes. Flavor offers more wood and less malt, but spice is still strong - cloves, nutmeg, maybe one or two more. Smooth mouthfeel features good body and fair fizz. From old Belgium to New Belgium - yum!
