Bottled@Björntasting. Deep rubyish black colour, not much head. Aroma is dark dry fruits, some malts and rather sweet notes. Flavour is syrup, some burnt notes as well as quite toffeeish.

Wow, quite a beer! Pours a deep dark brown, nearly opaque black, with ruby highlights when held to the setting sun. Foamy tan head and scads of lacing well up the glass. Huge roasted malt aroma with a dominant molasses note. Tangy, tingly, highly carbonated mouthfeel, and a flavor of rich roasted malts, more molasses, toffee and burnt sugar, slightly smokey, with a mildly hopped finish. A very interesting, very tasty Schwarz, one that I'd rather drink than bathe in (as is suggested on the label!). Wish I had another right now, in fact.

Very dark beer. Big bubbled tan head quickly dissipates to almost nothing. Big roasty sweet aroma. Falvor is toffee, burnt malt and a hint of smoke. Some raisins flavor starts to show up as it warms. There's that lager taste to it, but it's almost completely covered up by the strong malty flavors. Hops are very low in the profile.

Aroma is chocolate, caramel and blackberries. Appearance is dark with a minimal head. Flavor is chocolate, dark fruit, and licorice. Aftertaste is sweet with a hint of sourness on your tounge. This is a nice one and possibly the longest beer name I've had the pleasure to rate.

This is a dark, creamy and smooth beer, with a bit of roastiness, and a touch of hops on the dry finish. Very nice.

Again,I like the label more than the beer. With the goldish/yellow label and gothic lettering, they make this appear to be a special brew. It is not. Dark as almost any stout, but rather thin with a non distinct taste and a slightly dryish finish. It went well with brownies and was consumed in about 20 minutes, but like the golden lager, this also is NOT a "taste of paradise". A rather avg dark beer and twice the cost of what it was worth.
