Contained within this bottle is an artful creation which began with our Hop God Belgian-Style IPA, then enhanced by a 6 month maturation in French Oak Chardonnay Barrels. This version of Hop God is a fascinating, big, bold Belgian-style Tripel hopped in very high amounts to concentrate citrus, grapefruit and floral aromatics in the nose. The addition of Chardonnay barrel aging adds further dimension and oak tannins to an already wonderfully complex Ale - bringing to mind tropical fruits and peach. We know of nothing that compares - enjoy! Reserve Series #3. Available: March 2nd 10.1% A.B.V. 108 IBU Suggested Pairing: Spicy foods, pizza, big pastas, rich seafood

My favorite in a line of really really good Nebraska beers last night. I didn't know what to expect from the chardonnay barrels as I've had everything from mellow soft and buttery, to light apple, to sour. This had a light tropical fruitiness and a coconut aspect to the barreling that has been noticed in bourbon aged beers like Bruery White Oak. The aroma is tantalizing fruits and coconut, oak and hops. The hops are subdued but not covered by the barreling and their presence put this one over the top compared to the Melange (same barrels). Expensive, but soooo stinkin good. Mouthfeel soft and full and oh so smooth.

Deffinite belgian nose with sour apple notes, assuming it's from the chardonnay barrels. A cloudy beer, yellow orange haze with a thick white head. Holy hell, the mouthfeel and the flavor are pretty mindblowing. Nice rich feel, super smooth. Flavors are everywhere, there's belgian stuff in here, IPA hops resins, sour fruits, bread, etc. A pricey beer but worth it.

Had up at Freetail in San Antonio for the Old Bat Rastard bottle release, shared with some awesome BA’s from San Antone and Austin and provided by Scott, owner of one of the best brewpubs in Texas, Freetail!

Pours out a light gold with some haze.. foam is sturdy and lacing is ample..

Smell is wonderful, light sweet notes, very light oak, sugar, hints of fresh squeezed hops, and some mellow honey and citrus..

Taste will absolutely blow you away. amazing stuff, from the sturdy hop presence, to the light honey, to the fun yeast/oak flavours; this is just to hard to describe without doing this beer justice!

not only that but the mouthfeel for a beer of this caliber is untouchable.. smooth as silk, with not even a hint of the 10%.. the abv is hiding so well you should check your pockets..

ALL and all this beer is just amazing.. I want it again and again and drinking it with new friends made it that much better..

    I raise my glass!
