A delicate black saison. This beer is using roasted rye and roasted wheat, which means complex dark fruit, chocolate and coffee notes without the characteristic bitterness of many black malts. Our house saison yeast lends its own fruit character and dry wine-like flavor.

Pours barely translucent chocolate, not much head. Aroma presents sour dark fruit and toasted malt. Flavor features dark fruit, toasted mslt, and a smoky hint. Mouthfeel offers fair body and fizz. What a tart.
