In cottage country, stopping for a decadent Kawartha Dairy ice cream is as traditional as cracking open a cold Muskoka brew. So it only makes sense to bring the two together to create this unfiltered, full-bodied raspberry and vanilla flavoured Milkshake IPA, with a rich creamy finish.

The beer pours a translucent rust colour with a generous tan coloured head which recedes quickly, but leaves a long lasting film on top of the beer. The aroma is cereal grains with a strong berry presence and hints of light citrus and floral hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is berries and cream with notes of citrus and grass. The finish is more tart than bitter.

Can from LCBO. Pours a massive frothy pinkish head, thick dirty lacing, has a slightly murky pink coloured appearance. Lively carbonation. Aromas are fruity, raspberry mostly with sprinkles of various other berries, sweet malt. Flavours are sweet, fruity, raspberries are definitely, lactose. Has a milky like mouthfeel, creamy and slick. Overall, not too bad but a bit on the sweeter side, not much bitterness to offset sweetness.

Can that pours a clean light ruby-red colour with a big foamy-frothy pinkish head that lasts a while and leaves some soapy lacing. Fruity nose with the berries, light hoppy grass and blended with some vanilla. The taste shows the berries again with the hoppier side giving more bitterness and finishing smoothly with the vanilla. Gets hazy near the last pours and all-around, better balanced. Not as sweet as most Milkshake IPAs, but well-brewed if you prefer a little more hoppy and less fruity.
